How to Play One Piece Card Game

One Piece Card Game is a battle game where each player uses a Leader, Characters, Events and DON!! cards to control the field and break through the opponent's Life cards.

Objective

You win by attacking until your opponent has no Life cards left and then landing one more successful attack on their Leader. Some effects can also decide games in special ways, but this is the normal path to victory.

Setup

Each player starts with 1 Leader, a 50-card deck and a separate 10-card DON!! deck. After shuffling and drawing your opening hand, you place the correct number of Life cards from the top of your deck face down next to your Leader and begin the game.

Turn Structure

At the start of your turn you ready your cards, add DON!! cards to your cost area and draw according to the first-player rules. Then you can play Characters, attach DON!! to power up your cards, use Events and attack with your Leader or Characters.

DON!! And Combat

DON!! cards are your main resource and can also be attached to Leaders or Characters to increase power during the turn. Battles compare power values, and Counter cards from hand can help defend against incoming attacks.

Beginner Tips

Learn your Leader first and build around its color and ability. Try not to spend all your DON!! too early, respect your opponent's possible Counters and plan attacks in an order that forces difficult defensive choices.
